George Westinghouse acquired rights to key patents and employed Tesla as a consultant. In the 1890s Tesla became famous for high frequency and high voltage experiments and demonstrations. In 1898 he demonstrated a radio controlled boat.

Beginning in the early 1900s, Tesla developed Wardenclyffe on Long Island as the center of an ambitious wireless system. The project remained incomplete. He continued inventing and speaking about future technologies but experienced increasing financial difficulty and isolation. He died in New York on January 7, 1943.

The shadow and the gift

When they cooperate, the invisible can become light, movement, communication, and a future that once existed only in the dark.
